Wonderful hosts, fun class My husband booked the Hellenic Odyssey cooking class for a birthday activity to do with our family.
Kelly was so accommodating to our dietary requests prior to attending the class. Kelly and her husband Zen were wonderful hosts made the class fun we even danced the Zorba around the kitchen. The food was delicious and we got to experience a little bit of Greek culture.

Highly recommend Hands on class with an experienced teacher and easy to follow instructions.
I learnt new skills. I’m excited to make my phyllo pastry with my husband. The teacher was lovely and I highly recommend her class to anyone who wants to learn the basics of making phyllo pastry.

Kelly was super friendly and informative Kelly was super friendly and informative, giving us some cultural history in between some sound tips when cooking Greek food. Fillo making class was simply amazing Meeting Kelly (and Zen) today in the Fillo making class was simply amazing. Not only is she very knowledgeable but also very patient and extremely kind in sharing all her little secrets in perfecting the 2 different types of fillo. I walked away feeling empowered and very satisfied that I can do it on my own. We ate everything we made, there is nothing like home made spanakopita from scratch. She also made us Dako and Galatopita with herbal mountain tea for lunch. It felt like i was back in Crete with the hospitality, I didn't want to leave! She even gave us a goodie bag!! So looking forward to doing more classes with her in the future!!!

Had a fabulous time! Kelly was so organised in running this class. She welcomed all 8 of us to her lovely home. There’s a beautiful long marble kitchen bench from which we learnt how to make a range of Greek specialty dishes that I don’t know how to pronounce let alone spell. They were all delicious highlights being the vine leaves/ dolmades, beans in tomatoes with feta, pumpkin fritters, beef meatballs and filo pastry custard pockets. We shared the feast with a white wine from Crete, which is where Kelly is from. She is passionate about the benefits of Mediterranean diet and the role food plays in culture and bringing people together. We had a fabulous time. Thank you!

Wonderful Kelly is an wonderful cook and teacher with a genuine passion for Greek food and the Mediterranean diet. She made us feel so warm and welcome and we enjoyed a beautiful meal at the end of the lesson, that we made together! We learnt so much and were provided with the recipes and a small surprise gift at the end of the day. A great experience!

Kelly has a great passion! Kelly has a great passion for what she does and this is so clear when you attend one of her cooking classes. I had so much fun at the cooking class and it was done in such a way that I feel confident to try the recipes myself at home. The class was well organised and it flowed in a way where everyone had ample involvement. My advice is to attend with an empty stomach as you certainly get to enjoy your creations!

Great cooking class! Great cooking class, learnt how to make lots of cretian dishes, sweet and savoury, took home the recipes so you can try it at home too, got to eat all the dishes at the end of the class, very tasty and easy to follow. Would recommend.

The class was held in a private home with a well equipped kitchen. Only 4 in the class. Friendly relaxed atmosphere. We were welcomed with Greek and Cretan snacks. We were all involved in making the Greek Easter biscuits. Fun and time to chat. Lots of biscuits to take home. Very enjoyable.

The feedback from the group has been very positive and they all loved the dips and they also really liked Kelly as she was very good at explaining what and how to do it all. One carer who had to leave because her daughter had collapsed at school and had to leave the workshop said Kelly was every understanding and empathetic. The Galaktoboureko class was fantastic! Kelly is amazing - a very welcoming, patient, knowledgeable, and skilled Host. She takes you through each step, giving important tips along the way. The pace of the class was perfect. Kelly reiterated important steps in the process and did regular check in's with each participant to ensure success for all. Although it was a class conducted via Zoom she was patient letting everyone catch up including my 10 year old. The dish itself was delicious. Kelly has been a magnificent teacher, teaching me some traditional Greek recipes i grew up with. Not only is she informative, she is very patient, very knowledgeable and most of all, her passion and love for food oozes when she teaches you online or in her home. Highly recommend anyone looking for traditional Greek cooking classes not only to learn, however to have some fun and most of all to meet others who also enjoy the flavours of Greece. I have done 10 classes and learnt so much, my favourite is Portokalopita, Cretan Bougatsa, Tiropita and the Greek Koulouri you find in the streets of Athens.

In November of 2020 towards the end of COVID Melbourne lockdown, our company (staff all working from home) needed a pick me up- we felt a little flat. We needed some extra motivation and also chance to promote further employee engagement during isolation. A Greek cooking class was something different and a fun activity to do! The feedback from everyone who attended was positive. No-one had ever cooking Greek from scratch before so it was a pleasant and rewarding learning experience! Also the food was delicious! I would recommend this class for a fun team bonding activity!
